The importance of the right equipment

Meet our heroes, the mechanical ones obviously. Exhibit one is a ride-on mower, exhibit two is a flexi-shaft strimmer or weed whacker or bush cutter (depending whether you are from the UK, USA or Australia). You will see them huffing and puffing and making a fair amount of noise in your gardens.

Fear you not though because professional grade tools and machine get the job done faster and better than the ones available to the general public. This is especially true when combined with the operator’s skills. Our gardeners are trained and know their stuff like the back of their hand. A perfect match for both.

The flexi-shaft strimmer is an ideal tool for embankments and irregular terrain and also to clean under lower canopy trees (olive trees, shrubs) where its flexibility allows to stand without having to work in a very uncomfortable position for our backs.

The ride on mowers we use are two Kubota GR1600II. With their two cylinder Diesel engines they provide excellent torque and power for driving the two heavy duty rotary blades below. While precisely cutting your grass in 1.1 metre wide stripes, they collect all the cuttings and with their massive 400 litres collection bag reduce the number of trips to empty them.

Last but not least, do you notice the small black wheel behind the front wheel? The blades plate has three: two at the front and one in the middle at the back. These are called anti-scalp wheels and they literally help the plate to follow the contour of your lawn to achieve a perfect cut, making sure all grass is cut at the same height.

See you in your garden soon!
